- All IPWC trainings, including CEUs, are free.
- The Iowa Board of Certification has pre-approved CEUs for peers.
- The CEUs that are offered through CCAR will be provided by CCAR.
- Trainings are capped at between 25 and 75 participants. Registrations will close when the class is full.

| Tuesday, October 13, 2026 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. | Ethics for Family Peer Support Specialists: Professional Competence & Integrity Participants will understand and identify principles of the Iowa Board of Certification’s FPSS Code of Ethics. Through scenarios and group discussions, FPSS will be able to better understand and navigate the complexities of the Code of Ethics. Friday, October 16, 2026 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. | Peer Ethics Training Location: Virtual Throughout our careers, we inevitably face ethical dilemmas with employers, coworkers, and those we serve. These situations often leave us feeling uncertain about the best course of action, especially when the choices aren’t clear-cut. That’s where a peer code of ethics is indispensable— to help us navigate these complexities. In this training, you will learn how to identify the standards of conduct within the Code, think through the gray areas, and respond to different types of conflict.

Monday, November 16 - Wednesday, November 18, 2026 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. (Central) | Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches Training Location: Virtual by Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Recovery coaches need an understanding of ethics that differs from those of clinicians because of their unique role in guiding someone through their own recovery process. In this training, you’ll learn what ethics are and why ethics are so important when performing recovery coach services, how to stay in your lane as a recovery coach, the decision-making process, how to develop guidelines for making ethical decisions, and apply this new learning to your everyday work as a recovery coach. | 16 | To attend this training through the IPWC, prior completion of CCAR's Recovery Coach Academy is required. | Registration will open October 12th at noon. |
