Renée is a Family Peer Support Specialist trainer and has been a Family Navigator with the Regional Autism Assistance Program (RAP) and Child Health Specialty Clinics (CHSC) for eight years. She has lived experience with her autistic young adult son who also has ADHD and anxiety. For more than a decade she has collaborated with other families to advocate with schools and community providers for better outcomes for autistic students. She served on Iowa HHS Children's Mental Health and Wellbeing Advisory Council and co-chaired Coalition for a Children's Mental Health Redesign.
