The Iowa Peer Workforce Collaborative is conducting Iowa's first statewide survey of peer support workers and volunteers.

Adults with lived experience (mental health or substance use challenge, either themselves or family members) who are currently employed or were previously employed as peer support workers or volunteers are eligible to take the survey. Peer support workers and volunteers have many job titles depending on their workplace. Some examples include volunteers, peer support specialists/advocates, peer recovery specialists/coaches, family peer support/navigators, and crisis responders/counselors.

The survey will ask peer support workers and volunteers about experiences working with peers and the organizations they work in. The survey will also cover work-life balance, compensation (if any), and career plans. The IWPC won’t ask for names or organization names.

The IPWC wants to capture a broad range of experiences and perspectives. It will use these results to develop training for peer supervisors and others and share the results with people who can advocate for the profession of peer support. The final report will be published on the IPWC website.

The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. After submitting your survey, you can enter a drawing for one of 20 - $25.00 Amazon gift cards by clicking on a new link.
